With a summer full of lush woods and barren desert landscapes as our backdrop, we welcomed the urban street setting for this 2 day outdoor/indoor event. We teamed up with D-town dubstep kingpins, Sub.Mission, and good friends Nexus to build a stage on a closed off block in downtown Denver. Once again, Nexus shook everyone with quadraphonic Funktion One Stacks, with walls of Turbosound to boot. We utilized a slightly smaller variation of the Sonic Bloom light array to pack the mobile stage with pixels. Even a rainy Saturday didn’t stop Denver from going off for Caspa.

Temple of Boom – Burning Man 2011: Rites of Passage

AudioPixel collaborated with the Temple of Boom crew at Burning Man to bring a stage of epic proportions to the primetime corner of 10 and Esplanade.

At nearly 50 feet tall, our setup consisted of 7 semi-transparent large panels forming the back wall of the center pillar and 2 pillars on each side. The 18 foot tall center cubic column was built using 3 layers of 3D nodes suspended from a custom lattice that extended 12 feet off the front of the temple. Additional wash lighting was used in conjunction with custom deco made by Spaceshaping.

Over 50 artists played on this stage over 6 days. Most notably, Andy C, EOTO, Freq Nasty, MartyParty and Beats Antique.

Tipper Sound Experience @ Regency SF, CA

The Grand Regency Ballroom in San Francisco marked the last stop of The Tipper Sound Experience 2011 tour. The Regency is a majestic masonic temple that has been converted into a world class venue. The rigging and production crew made set up a breeze and we completed everything in record time. The 2.0 OpenGL 3D programming and native particle engine driven by hyper audio-reactive sound/visual algorithms provided adequate visual stimulation to accompany Tipper’s super clean and intricate bass heavy dance-floor smashers. Featuring opening set by Vibesquad.

Tipper Sound Experience in Santa Cruz

The Tipper Sound Experience takes over the Coconut Grove ballroom in Santa Cruz for a night of mayham. The 4 quadraphonic Funktion One stacks sounded perfectly crisp and tremendously heavy inside the century old historic dome. This was the only stop of the tour where all Led hardware was set up as freestanding structures including the 4 complete cubes. A VIP balcony area gave the perfect vantage point to soak up the sold out show. Opening sets by Little John and Vibesquad.

Sonic Bloom 2011
Mainstage and Lead LD for the entire Sonic Bloom Festival, including LED ground lighting for 6+ acres. Most notable was the EOTO performance and a custom setup for the Tipper Sound Experience.
